Current Victorian senators:
|3||Richard Di Natale||Greens|
|5||Kimberley Kitching (replaced Stephen Conroy)||Labor|
|7||Raff Ciccone (replaced Jacinta Collins)||Labor|
All twelve senators were elected in the 2016 double dissolution (except Kimberley Kitching and Raff Ciccone who replaced Stephen Conroy and Jacinta Collins respectively). As 2019 will be a half-senate election, senators 1-6 will continue until 2022, while senators 7-12 have their term expire on 30 June 2019.
To get a senate position, candidates must get around 14.3% of the overall vote either in their own right or through preferences.
A total of 82 senate candidates are contesting the six spots for Victoria. Due to limitations in our resources, only incumbent candidates or candidates who have appeared or who will appear on Mitchell’s Front Page will be listed on this website. Victorian senate candidates who wish to get involved in the program can get in touch via the website.
The candidates below are listed in the order that they will appear on the senate ballot paper.
